Police blotter: DUIs and gas theft
At about 12:15 a.m. June 2, an officer was patrolling the area of C-470 and Yosemite Street when he observed an SUV traveling north on Yosemite Street toward Chester Street. The officer reported the vehicle was weaving, and initiated a traffic stop. Police said the driver, a 33-year-old Highlands Ranch man, smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot, watery eyes. When asked if he had been drinking, the man replied, "A little," according to a report. After allegedly failing voluntary roadside maneuvers, the man was arrested on investigation of DUI and later released.
At about 11 p.m. June 1, police were patrolling the parking lot of the United Artists movie theater, 9355 Park Meadows Drive. Police said they observed the driver of a black Isuzu Trooper throw trash out of the window of the vehicle, according to a report.
